Hi all, hope everyone’s well and having a pleasant week. I pretty much am, besides the realisation of this month almost coming to an end; eek!

On that note, how has this year been for you? Personally, it’s been quite a rollercoaster of distractions; of which my response have been to react. Not until this morning did I take time to reflect, coming to this conclusion;

Distraction is a test of discipline.

Distractions are a by-product of discipline, arising as a result of you choosing to be intentional about a particular aspect of life. Of which your response shouldn’t be to react, but to remain focused!

I really am encouraged by this, and I hope you are too if you’re facing similar challenges.

Onto today’s look, the weather here in London has been immensely cold; I basically live in layers on most days. The idea of layering during winter can however be uncertain, as subject to your environment, you end up either being too warm or not warm enough. The in-between almost seem unattainable and near impossible. To deal with such, my go-to’s tend to be long sweaters and boots, covering my easily affected parts, whilst allowing room for air to balance it out. With this outfit, I’d chosen to wear a skirt over the sweater giving it a layered skirt illusion.

I do hope you like this look as much as I do. I’ll be back on Friday with another food post. Should you have any ideas of what you’d like to see on the blog, be it food or fashion, please leave a comment below. That’d be helpful.

Be Right Back,

  1. Ahhh, you are wearing a dress and a skirt, I like it. This is one of the reasons why I like winter, it gets your creatives juices flowing when it comes to layering looks. Hmmmm as for ideas for a post- lets talk food! I am super lazy in ze kitchen, I love finding new quick n easy n healthy recipes, so a post on that would be great. And if it was centred around salmon, bonuuuus. I just started making salmon-based dishes last year, so I’m interested in finding out more recipes.. Ok. The End ( ; X

  2. Distraction is indeed a test of discipline…I love that quote. Sometimes I wish we had winter in this part of the planet. I’ve always loved the idea of layering and creating stylish outfits from unusual pairings. I love how your skirt blended so well with your sweater and those boots!!?

  3. I totally agree! I just touched on distractions and being unmotivated on my blog today too. I find that when I have so much to do I get overwhelmed and just sort of shut down. Cute outfit! And impressed you made that choker all my yourself. It’s so pretty! Have a great weekend lady.

  4. Well, for me the year, just the first month, was going well, till a very bad character person tried to sabotage a very important thing for me… and I am trying to fix it. Hopefully there’s justice in the world 🙂 Your look is really beautiful and you look really amazing! I loved your boots! And the belt is amazing, it enhances your beautiful figure. I hope you have a very nice weekend!
